I know, I know… yet another romancey title. But, this one is about Lady Scientists, and I cannot say ‘no’ to a book about Lady Scientists. It could have 0/5 stars with 10,000 reviews and I would have to at least try it. We LS’s must stand in solidarity.
That being said… this was not a great book. It was good. But it really wasn’t the strongest in the series, so far. I felt the previous two, A Lady’s Formula for Love and A Perfect Equation had stronger plots and character motives.
There were several times when the FMC said or did something and I went, ‘Huh? That seems out of character.’ And the conflict between her, her male counterpart, and the antagonist seemed… flat.
A bummer, because I want to love feminists slaying gender norms and claiming their rightful place in history and the scientific community.
Alas. Back to the quest for more Lady Scientists. And dragons. And giant robots. Girl, if you told me there was book that had all three…? Shut up and take my money.
(Hmmm… how could I write a book about all three…)
