So many to chose from! If you to go classic, georgette heyer is the queen of historical romance (IMO). They’re clean but not saccharine/smarmy. Modern ones... so many! I liked Tessa Dare, India Holton, Lynn Messina, Christina Dudley, Elizabeth Everette, Evie Dunmore. Varying levels of spice, strong females (in general). Sometimes a bit of fantasy.
I’m about to start reading regency romance after that conference! I met so many writers whose Duke-type romance books sound so good 😊
